Previous Event: April

First Saturday Features

"Carnival Glass" - Saturday, April 7, 11:00am to 3:00pm

Roy Johnson was our featured guest on this Saturday, and conducted a Mini "Show-N-Tell" on Carnival Glass. Customers were invited to bring 1 or 2 items for information and identification.

Roy grew up in a small town in southern Oklahoma and attended College in Lafayette, Louisiana with a degree in Medical Technology. Working as Laboratory Manager at McBride Clinic/Bone and Joint Hospital for 38 years, he retired in 2002.

Roy started collecting Carnival Glass in the early 1970's and along with a friend, Wayne Fawcett, formed "The Heritage Connection" in 1986. They opened their first booth space at a mall in Edmond to sell excess furniture and other antiques they had accumulated. When all those pieces sold, they had to keep buying to replenish the booth - and have been doing that for 24 years!

They now buy, sell, and run Estate Sales and Auctions and mostly have fun doing what they love to do!

23rd Street Antique Mall is their only booth space now, but of course, as Roy puts it, "23rd Street Antique Mall is the best mall in this part of the Country!"

Hope to see you there!!!
